The Beginnings
Kerrave started on the 20th of May 2022. It was initially a birthday party, but with a dance music theme. We didn’t have the best setup or facilities, but around 100 of us had an amazing night. The name Kerrave was coined by James Hogben, who you might occasionally see on the DJ list.
Next Steps
In the years that followed, we used our knowledge from the first event to improve our sound system and hone our DJ skills, and we held it as a Halloween event, with fancy dress mandatory.
Over subsequent years, we held additional summer events and Halloween events, constantly improving the sound system, decks and lighting setup, and playing out at additional venues around Macclesfield.
The Now
We have had a lot of fun, but it’s time to share this with a wider audience: a rave-style event with love and unity, close to home, featuring the best local DJs we can find. Come and dance the night away, drink, eat, and be merry.
